The company was formed as a result of the realization that certain films are given less prestige within the  industry, rendering them less available to the public. To put it another way, Hollywood exhibits a belief that diversity means more screen-time for non-white or non-normative characters and/or creators. With films being distributed through limited outlets, this kind of “diversity” results in segregation. We would like to provide a solution to this problem.  Ayo Streaming is centered around  discovery and education! The platform will function as a digital cultural enhancement tool, as well as a space for filmmakers to network with other institutions and supporters within our community in order to continue to grow and expand visibility.
